... more on Mark Bell
Born and educated in Scotland, Mark is an honors
graduate in Scots and European law. His work has taken him through leadership
experience in a variety of sectors, and has provided an opportunity
to publish articles in various periodicals. Mark continues to work with
clients in sectors as diverse as financial services, manufacturing,
utilities, education and banking. With Robert Henderson and Ian Chisholm,
Mark created the RE-FIND THE FUTURE™ approach to leadership, organizational
and personal renewal.
In his last position Mark was the Head of Human Resources for Boots
the Chemist (UK) where he played a lead role in organizational change
strategy centered around coaching. This role provided Mark with an opportunity
to practice his belief in strong business performance through true responsibility
and ownership across an entire mobilized workforce. His first hand experience
of the dramatic changes within the organization as a result completely
altered the way he viewed both personal and professional success and
fulfillment. In his various organizational roles, Mark has worked with
senior executives as both coach and general manager and worked closely
with management in their development both personally and of their talent
management and performance programs.
Mark spent four years practicing as a criminal defense lawyer in Edinburgh
where he worked closely with N.E.E.E.D.S. (North East Edinburgh Drugs
Service), local Social Work Departments and the Immigration Society.
Much of his work tackled the tricky interface between defending and
counseling young offenders.
Mark is qualified in mediation and conflict resolution form Woodbury
College, Vermont and holds the Certificate in Business Communications
from the International N.L.P. Training Association.
