Danae is the Principal of Thinking Partners
– an organization committed to improving the quality of life for
individuals and organizations through coaching, progressive people
practices and strategic resource planning. Danae is a Certified Executive
Coach (CEC) and Human Resource Professional (CHRP) with over 15 years
experience in human resource leadership and business management.
She is a Senior Associate with Berlin,
Eaton & Associates Ltd.
and The Roy Group Consultants.
Most recently, Danae served as a Vice President of People Development
at
Intrawest - a world leader in resort operations and real estate development with
over 25,000 employees. Within an organization, Danae has developed a diverse
group of leaders and management professionals through leadership learning initiatives
and an executive coaching program. At the helm of human resources, Danae managed
a major company reorganization that transitioned a large real estate company
from a resort-based structure with 17 offices, to a regional structure located
in six urban offices in Canada, USA and Europe.
Danae coaches entrepreneurs and leaders in the executive suite. Additionally,
she works with clients exclusively focused on achieving greater personal
fulfillment .With experience in shaping corporate culture in both the
public and private sectors, Danae has designed and implemented human
resource visions and comprehensive strategic plans. She has designed and facilitated
successful learning programs in recruitment and selection, behavioral interviewing,
orientation, performance management, recognition, harassment, conflict
resolution, communications and other areas of strategic human resources. Thinking
Partners utilizes Danae’s experience and her associates, to partner with organizations
in creating and enhancing their strategic human resources and organization
development plans.
Expanding her view of community, Danae volunteered
in South America recently, building two single family homes for families in need.
Danae was invited as an advisor to the Mackenzie Leadership Project involving
First Nations, private sector forestry companies and the BC Forest
Service in a forest dependent community. Danae also volunteers as a
coach with the Minerva Foundation and is an active member of the Vancouver chapter of the International Coaching Federation
(ICF). She lives in Vancouver and spends much of her free time on the
Sunshine Coast or in the mountains hiking or snowshoeing.
