The Roy Group

... more on Bradley Chisholm

Working alongside emerging leaders to help them unfold incredible stories is the mission behind Bradley's work.

Prior to joining The Roy Group, Bradley served as the Executive Assistant to the Alberta Attorney General and the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. As the chief political and policy advisor, Bradley's most important role was to position his cabinet minister for high performance in a rapidly changing environment with significant real-time consequences.
Coaching became the operating system that Bradley relied on to work with the political leadership, to collaborate and to build a high performance team around him.

Within government Bradley had the ability to build and lead high performance teams. He worked with senior government officials to develop Alberta's aggressive crime reduction strategy and a coordinated plan to dismantle the business of organized crime. With the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Bradley's team developed a policy establishing the Homeless Secretariat charged with the mission to end homelessness in Alberta in 10 years. In 2010, this policy was recognized with a Gold Medal from the Institute of Public Administration of Canada for its leadership in breaking the cycle of homelessness and for setting new standards in collaboration.

Joining The Roy Group in 2009 to lead the firm's executive coaching offering was a natural transition.

Bradley works with an international network of coaching practitioners focusing on the trends and needs of emerging leadership in society. Bradley holds his Executive Coaching Certification from the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara. Bradley's clients include emerging leaders in the political, public service, non- profit and business communities. Regardless of the sector in which his clients work, they share common characteristics: a drive to move meaningful work forward; a dedication to building leadership around them; and an openness to learning how they can be better.

Developing leadership has been the underlying theme through Bradley's work and life. In 2001 he was asked to join the team of Columba 1400, a community and international leadership centre on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, to design the leadership programming for its inaugural year of operations. Prior to this Bradley worked for the American Management Association International's young adult training division designing and delivering leadership programs at university campuses throughout North America.

Before accepting the post with the Government of Alberta, Bradley practiced law with Macleod Dixon LLP as a member of the firm's commercial real estate team. Bradley studied law at the University of Calgary and economics at McGill University. He continues to be a member of the Law Society of Alberta. He lives in Vancouver, Canada with his wife Taryn, an interior designer.
